He is fluent in Spanish, English, and French and holds a joint M.S. in finance from Harvard University, Instituto de Estudios Bursatiles de Madrid IEB and Universidad Anahuac in Mexico City.

Stephan J Erkelens has more than 25 years of entrepreneurial experience in developing large-scale global initiatives. Stephan’s upbringing in Argentina, Central America and his European education has helped him develop a unique ability to reach across international cultures, manage complex transactions involving multinational structures, mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Erkelens has participated in a comprehensive array of real estate ventures. As the managing partner of a US development and investment company, he led the organization’s expansion into Mexico, leveraging the region’s unique positioning with significant emphasis on environmental sensitivity and regional culture preservation.

The company operates CCRC communities, assisted living communities and one of the only all-Chinese assisted living facilities in the U.S. He served as president and CEO for a division of Sun Healthcare Group with executive responsibility for restructuring the company’s European communities. Serving as a Chairman of the Board of Active Living International, Mr. Meyer holds a Master of Arts in City and Regional Planning from Ohio State University, studied in the Yale University School of Management and taught senior housing courses at John Hopkins University. He is fluent in Spanish.

Since 1998, Henri Moeremans d’Emaus has been active in the health care sector for investment and development throughout Europe with a Washington, D.C. based investment fund. He has conducted market research on independent and assisted living in the Benelux countries, Italy and France. In addition to English, Henri is fluent in French, Italian and Spanish and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
